# Villa Arson

High above Nice, Villa Arson is both a contemporary art center and a school with an artist residency. The building is a piece in itself: raw concrete architecture, open patios, terraced gardens and a panoramic view over the entire Baie des Anges. You come for the exhibitions, often sharp and committed, but also for the setting: the air shifts, the pace slows, you breathe. The alleys and shaded corners invite you to linger and talk. An inspiring, slightly hidden place, miles from the beaten seafront paths.

## Personal Reflection
One hour on the same bench, over a sculpture neither of us got.  
I was sitting in the gardens, sketchbook in hand. A guy came and sat next to me and asked what I was drawing. We spent an hour talking about a sculpture neither of us really understood. He recommended me a show in Marseille, I went and met my current boyfriend.
