Matumbi Canta a Bahia
On July 24, Lazzo Matumbi turns the Concha Acústica into one big declaration of love to Bahia. In Matumbi Canta a Bahia, the respected singer revisits classics by Dorival Caymmi, João Gilberto and Novos Baianos, blends tradition with the current scene, and brings in BaianaSystem, Rachel Reis and BNegão to make it all even better. It's a show for taking in baiana music with your whole body, singing along, dancing and feeling that energy only Salvador knows how to offer. Amid all the axé, samba, reggae and MPB, what if the best serenade of the night comes from someone right beside you?
