Kurafuto

happners' hot spots

São Paulo has the largest Japanese community outside Japan and, on July 25 and 26, Kurafuto takes over the Pavilhão Japonês at Ibirapuera with a Japanese-Brazilian curation that's far from cliché, even for people who already live in the city. There's typical food, beers, coffees, teas, fashion, design, music, dance and much more, all with that made-with-care feel, by people who put their story (and their heart) into what they create. Since 2018, the festival has gathered Japanese-descendant artists, artisans and small producers in an outing that, more than a fair, is a meeting point. You can go looking for different flavours, get lost among lovely stalls, strike up a conversation with little effort and leave with the feeling you found a handmade kind of love, tailor-made for you.
